Story Description

Memories of Covid 19

Beginning
Introduction to covid via CDC . CDC vs White House. Death toll rising. Education needed. Face masks, hand sanitizer. Schools struggle, nursing shortage, restaurants clossings. Vulnerable patients in hospitals and nursing homes dying alone. Mass graves in NYC. Many refuse to be vaccinated.
Emotional toll
Fear, confusion, distrust of CDC and White House.
People feeling their civil right violated by mask mandates. Others see it is a matter of public health. Leadership needed.
Fueling hate as White House claims covid came from China. Increased hate crimes against Asians.
Isolation from others loneliness.
2023
Pandemic officially over.
Lessons learned.
Elected officials need to tell the truth. Reduce partisan politics. Educate without fear. Cooperate and listen to others. Close the divide instead of widening it.
