The Our Story NH project has ended active recruitment of stories.  The website will remain live; we encourage you to view, enjoy and share the stories with your community.  Please reach out to hello@ourstorynh.com if you have any questions about the project, or storytelling in general.

Share Your Story

If you are interested in submitting a story, please complete the form below, and either upload your file(s) (document, audio, video, images, etc) or paste your content into the long form text box. You can submit your story in any language. Please note, all stories will be reviewed prior to posting or sharing of any kind. We reserve the right to decline sharing of stories that include hate speech, discrimination, or….

The following section asks for your first name, email address and New Hampshire zip code. You may choose to share your first name or click the option to submit anonymously.

The only information Our Story NH will share publicly are first name (or Anonymous) and zip code.* Your email address will not be shared and will only be used if we need to contact you for any reason.

    I authorize the use and release of my story in the following ways:

    • I acknowledge that I am 18 years old or older. I consent to have my story shared on the ourstorynh.com website, on Our Story NH social media pages, and archived for historic purposes.

    • I consent to my story being shared at public screening events including:

      • Workshop/webinars
      • Presentations at conferences
      • Hosted on the video sharing platform vimeo

    • I consent to my story being shared with members of the media for publication in print, digital and/or broadcast (radio, television, streaming). A story may be abbreviated for length in order to fit the format, but will not be edited for content.

    I am aware that the Our Story NH project cannot control how the public uses and shares the information within the stories. If you would like to have your story removed from the website, please email hello@ourstorynh.com

    Storytelling prompts

    There are many ways to tell a story – stories do not have to be written and they do not have to be only words! You can tell any story you want but we ask that you tell a story mostly about yourself and not others. Please do not name or identify others without their consent. Stories can be written, audio recordings of your voice; music or artwork – get creative!

    If you work best with a prompt – consider some of these below:

    • How has who you were in 2019 changed from who you are now?
    • What have you learned about yourself?
    • What have you learned about your community or the world around us?
    • What do you miss the most about life before the pandemic?
    • What new hobbies or skills or insights have you gained?
    • Share a visual image (painting, photograph, etc) that expresses how you are feeling today.
    • Is there a song or a piece of music or a type of music that has helped you through this last year?
    • What would you like the world to know about this time in New Hampshire?
