During the Covid 19 pandemic, I lived in the Greater Nashua region of New Hampshire.
At the start of the pandemic, my days were spent following the news for information about the pandemic. I also spent a lot of time being outside in nature and hiking/walking. I stayed in touch with friends and loved ones through texts, phone calls and on social media.
Something I learned about myself during the Covid 19 pandemic is that despite the uncertainty and stress brought on by this crisis , I was able find contentment and joy under these terrible circumstances. The simple routines we established to cope, like trying out new recipes, binge watching Netflix, gathering with friends in backyards and taking walks after dinner helped us to feel safe and remain hopeful.
I would like future generations of New Hampshire to know that for me personally this time afforded me a chance to reflect deeply on what is most important in life. Practicing gratitude for both the simple pleasures like watching a beautiful sunset to the most important thing knowing that those you love the most are safe.
