During the Covid 19 pandemic, I lived and worked in the Capitol Region of New Hampshire.
At the start of the pandemic, my days were spent luxuriating in my PJs as I worked from home, cooking elaborate meals, watching 90s sitcoms, and avoiding the news. I started grad school in September of 2020.
Something I learned about myself during the Covid 19 pandemic is I am perfectly happy to be alone most of the time, but truly living life is being able to enjoy the moments of togetherness we tend to take for granted. I didn’t see my parents for 6 months and I am still recovering from the crushing loneliness.
I would like future NH generations to know that everything was scary. Everything could make you sick. But the woods were there, and they were safe. Let’s keep them a bastion of peace and hope in a changing world.
